The Lion King: The Broadway Musical first premiered at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis, MN, on July 8, 1997. Due to critical acclaim and immense popularity it is now playing at the New Amsterdam Theater on Broadway. Disney movie studios was doing terribly financially until they released the animated feature, The Lion King. It broke box office records and even won academy awards for its superb songs. This musical version of Disneys most popular animated feature ever has drawn critical acclaim and reviews for its amazing special effects and incredible staging.
The music by Tim Rice, Elton John, Hans Zimmer and Lebo M. is quite amazing. The cast uses masks and puppetry with live acting to convey the atmosphere of The Lion King. Of course the Giraffes strut their stuff, birds are flying and the gazelles run and leap! The entire production comes to a reality with the music soaring. No one can mistake this production for not being known as The Lion King.
The cast is made up of over forty actors and an extensive number of crew members. Everyone who attends a show is boggled at the production which is directed and designed by Julie Taymor. With magic, one of the most successful animated films in history is somehow recreated on stage right before your eyes. The songs by Elton John, Tim Rice, South African composer Lebo M and music producer Mark Mancina are even better live than the compact disc versions.

New tickets will not need to be issued. If an event is cancelled without a rescheduled date, you will receive a full refund for the amount that you paid for the tickets (minus the original shipping charge) - provided the tickets are returned to our office within 30 days of the original event date. In Demand Tickets will not issue exchanges or refunds after a purchase has been made - or for lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed tickets. When you receive your tickets, please keep them in a safe place. Please note that direct sunlight or heat can sometimes damage tickets.

Your order for Lion King tickets will be fulfilled within 6-24 hours unless it was placed after hours or during an office closure or holiday. If this is the case, your order will be filled on the next business day. All tickets will be sent via Federal Express. Occasionally, the tickets you order may not be in hand yet. If this is the case, we will ship the tickets out to you the same day that we receive them.
The shipping address must be the same as your billing address at which you receive your credit card statement.
